On July 4, 1997
we brewed our first batch of homebrew - an IPA. We thus declared our 'independence' from the
Big Three commercial brewers. Like so many other homebrewers, we dream of
opening a professional brewery and seeing thousands of people
lined up at our doors demanding pints of our mild ale (and our other
beers). This website is dedicated to
that dream.
Herein we - and you - can track the progress of our brewery's
founding.

Along with making beer comes an
appreciation of well crafted beer. The
craft beer industry
is growing and promises to continue producing brilliant beers. Conversant beer journalists are hard at work
bringing these beers to light and educating all they can. There are several informative beer
